20 new fires in PG fire centre in the past 48 hours

The Prince George Fire Centre has responded to 20 new fires in the last 48 hours.

So far, Fire Information Officer Jill Kelsh says they’re busier this year than they were last year.

Of those fires, Kelsh says 15 were caused by lightning after the recent storms while the causes behind five of them are still undetermined.
