Prince George Fire Rescue was called to 805 Burden Street (corner of 8th and Burden) today (Wednesday).
A passerby noticed the smoke coming from the home and called 911.
“Crews responded at 11:24 this morning,” said assistant fire chief Denis Poulin.
“Initial crews found smoke coming from the chimney area. Inside, they found a room downstairs fully involved. Fire is under investigation at this time.”

Poulin added there was nobody home when 15 firefighters from three halls arrived and no one was injured.
Damage to the home is estimated at $100,000.
