Prince George RCMP are asking the public to be on the lookout for a stolen mountain bike and the person who stole it.
Yesterday afternoon, a young man left his red and black Specialized P26 bike outside a fast food restaurant near Domano Boulevard and Highway 16.
When he came out minutes later, he saw it being ridden away.
The suspected thief is described as a First Nations woman, approximately 25 years old, wearing a long sleeve red jacket and blue jeans. She is said to have been carrying a black back pack and was riding with a man on a lime green BMX bike.
The stolen bike is valued at $1500. The owner did not record the serial number.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers or the RCMP.
The RCMP are reminding riders to always lock up your bike with the best lock you can afford and make sure you record the serial number.
Prince George RCMP are running a series of registration events to allow riders to register their bikes with the police using the 529 Garage app.
