Coroners name man in Bear Lake crash

The BC Coroners Service has released the name of the driver who passed away about 10km south of Bear Lake on Saturday night.

The Service identified the man as 56-year-old Gino Lino Margherit of Prince George. It says he was travelling alone along Highway 97 just before 7 PM on July 9th when he drove off the road, down an embankment, and rolled. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

RCMP reported he was 63-years-old, but the Coroners confirm he was actually 56.

Both the Coroners Service and Police will continue to investigate.
