The BC Conservation Service says they have charged two men in connection to the ‘Moose Rider’ incident.
Deputy Chief Chris Doyle says they received complaints from the public in June of 2015 “relating to a video posted on social media that depicted a male jumping from a boat and onto the back of a moose in a lake.”
“The COS was able to identify the lake in the video as Tuchodi Lake near the town of Fort Nelson.”
Jaysun Pinkerton and Bradley Crook, both of Fort St. John, face three charges under the wildlife act of; harassing wildlife with a boat, attempting to capture wildlife and hunting swimming big game. Crown Counsel approved the charges on June 24th and the men will appear in court on Aug 8th.
