Variety – The Children’s Charity’s 12th annual Radiothon kicks off first thing tomorrow morning.
You can donate from 6 AM – 6 PM on Wednesday and Thursday. Producer Gene Bridges says all proceeds will help local kids with special health needs.
“It’s about the quality of life of the child what can variety do to improve the quality of life and solve a problem for a local family?” he says.
Variety President Howard Blank says all the money will help families in our area.
“Variety steps in where health care ends. A lot of people think that wheelchairs, apparatuses, all those things are provided by health care but they’re not and family’s that are in a desperate situation, we’re there for them every step of the way,” Blank says.
Last year, Variety raised a record $77,000 in the Prince George and Vanderhoof area. Over the last 11 years, it’s raised $605,902.
