Don't be complacent with fires this long weekend

Complacency is the biggest worry the Prince George Fire Centre has heading into the long-ish weekend.

Spokesperson Jill Kelsh says with the cool, damp weekend ahead, campers may not think too hard about putting their fires out.

Kelsh says the fire centre wants to make sure that all their resources can go towards lightning caused fire instead of human caused ones.

She says to make sure your fire is out, pour water over it and make move it around to make sure it is cool to the touch to ensure it is fully out.

You can also call star 555 on your cellphone to report a fire.

Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
