Canadian Tire Community Relations Manager Jane Hilder says it will take kids about an hour to finish the 5.7km course. “There is several obstacles set up from ‘Mud Sweat and Tears’ that was this weekend. So they’ve just kind of jimmy rigged it so it is a bit more kid friendly.”

“There is mud pits, medicine ball carries, they are going to get muddy as possible.”

Hilder says the idea has been in the works at the School District for a couple years now, and they were happy to step in as a sponsor.

“So we’ve already done the hockey program, and we wanted to be able to support something that would run in the summer as well as a legacy ongoing project.”
