Striking teachers get financial help from local source

Teachers feeling the stress from dwindling strike pay are getting a helping hand from Integris Credit Union.

Communications Officer Dan Wingham says they will forgive up to four payments of personal loans and mortgage payments for teachers who are members and even extend that offer to teachers who aren’t.

He says this is not a political move, just a means to help their members.

Integris says the offer is open until a resolution is reached.
