By donating to Red Cross at Prince George BC Liquor stores, the city raised $9,165 to help Fort McMurray wildfire victims.
BCL spokesperson Viola Kaminski says it’s heartwarming to see all the support.
“There’s a lot of talk that society nowadays is more closed off and we keep to yourself and our technology, but this just shows when something happens people really do come out and they support,” she says.
The Province-wide campaign raised $384,000, which will be doubled by the Federal Government.
