City gives up to $3000 for TMRS Access North Day

Tabor Mountain Rec Society will celebrate Access North Day and it’s Great West Life Mobility Trail extension with some help from the city.

The path will double to 900m, which means there’s more to enjoy for everyone with or without mobility challenges. To help cover the celebration costs, the City will give the Society up to $3000.

TMRS Vice-President Ken Hodges is happy to have the support.

“I think it’s fantastic supporting what our initiative is, of celebrating access in the north,” he says, “having the City involved – even though (Tabor Mountain) is outside of the city – really says something about the city and the community has a whole.”

It will also celebrate two new gazebos and a new campground.

The event is on July 23 from 10:30 AM ‐ 2:00 PM.
