Body of missing fisherman recovered near 100 Mile House

100 Mile House RCMP have confirmed that the body of a missing fisherman was found on Horse Lake Thursday morning.

Police say they were called 8pm Wednesday about a missing 88 year old male fisherman, with his friends reporting debris from his boat on the lake.

Foul play is not suspected and the Coroner’s office is now investigating.

RCMP and South Cariboo Search Rescue searched the east end of the Lake until 11:30 pm Wednesday, resuming their search Thursday morning.

The boater’s body was discovered at around 10 am Thursday near the north shore.
