Prince George Secondary School issues warning for suspicious vehicle

The Prince George Secondary School has sent a letter to parents warning about a suspicious vehicle reported by a student.

According to the letter on May 19 at approximately 11am, a student reported an Asian male with dark hair in a newer white minivan with ridges on the doors. The man is described as around 30 years old, wearing a blue and yellow striped short sleeve shirt. The letter does not detail any actions taken by the man.

The school says the incident has been reported to police and a file has been opened. They’re asking parents to talk to their kids about safe practices around strangers and reminding students not to get into strange vehicles with individuals they do not know.

Students are also encouraged to walk with a friend or in groups and to go to a safe place if they’re feeling threatened.
