Emergency services were called to the scene of a two vehicle accident at about 12:30pm.
Once on scene, officers found a small SUV and a pick-up truck with a loaded trailer had collided. The two occupants of the SUV and the lone occupant of the pick-up were taken to the University Hospital on Northern BC for treatment.
At about 6:00 PM, the 15 year old female passenger of the SUV passed away as a result of injuries sustained in the collision. The 17 year old driver of the SUV and the adult male driver of the truck were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
