Lheidli T’enneh launch treaty website

The Lheidli T’enneh First Nation has created a new website for members who want to learn more about the treaty process.

Communications Coordinator Maureen Luggi says yourvoiceourfuture.ca will allow members to access all types of information.

“The leadership are wanting to provide as much information to the community members so they can make a fully informed vote and that they can base that decision on the information being provided to them”

The website will contain important documents, such as the Final Agreement, the Constitution, Appendices, Side Agreements and Fact Sheets highlighting specific areas of the Final Agreement.

Luggi says there is several workshops and meeting plans for member who are not online.

The following dates, times and locations are for the Lheidli T’enneh Treaty Vote:

• October 15, 2016 — Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society
• October 18, 2016 — Crest Hotel, 222 1st Avenue, Prince Rupert
• October 21, 2016 — Lheidli T’enneh Administration Office — 1041 Whenun Rd, Prince George
• October 22, 2016 — Coast Inn of the North,770 Brunswick Street, Prince George
