PG first nations can access physio

Physiotherapy is now more readily accessible to First Nations in the Prince George area.

A partnership between the Central Interior Native Health Society, UBC, UNBC, and Northern Health has allowed for physiotherapy services to be offered at the Central Interior Native Health Centre.

Robin Roots with Northern Health says this improved access to physiotherapy is needed.

Roots says Physical Therapy students rotate through the Health Centre as part of their education, and are supervised by a registered physiotherapist.

The students have been providing care to over 200 people over the past year.
