Northern Health is reminding you it’s never too late to get the flu shot.
Medical Health Officer Raina Fumerton says there’s been an increase in cases recently.
She says a quick shot can keep you, and those around you, healthy.
“Given this later spike in the season, we’re just reminding people that the flu shots are still available and effective in preventing influenza,” she says.
Every year, hundreds of people in BC die because of the flu and flu-related illnesses, like pneumonia.
