Bond says its a challenge to get people to move north

BC’s Jobs Minister says its challenging to get people to move to Northern BC. Shirley Bond says employment seekers are reluctant to move where the jobs are.

Bond says the part of the solution is training people for the jobs that exist. She says its also industry’s job to step up and partner with the government. A recent report from the Canadian Federation of Independent Business found 30 percent of BC employers want to hire more staff, but the applications are not there.
