Vanderhoof is getting all set for next week’s “IDIDALAP4CANCER” fundraiser, but there has been a change in location.
Due to the teacher’s strike, the event will now be held at Riverside Park.
It was previously scheduled to take place at Nechako Valley Secondary School.
The event runs similar to Relay for Life, but goes 12 hours instead of 24.

Organizer Leslie McAvity says in the past three years of “I Did a Lap for Cancer,” over $100,000 has been raised.
McAvity says the event goes from noon to midnight on Friday.
