The old Haldi Road School property has a new buyer.
Realtor Don Kehler says he is assisting a client with putting together a “high quality dog boarding facility” at the shuttered school on Leslie Road.
The property attracted controversy in the past, when a previous owner attempted to open a Baldy Hughes like therapeutic community for women.
That plan had local residents in an uproar, who fought and killed the idea.
“We are hopeful we will have success it’s a pretty innocuous use, certainly it’s a nice large property, 10 acres with a fair amount of privacy.” Kehler said
The property will need to be re zoned. As a result, public consultations will take place.
