The Westwood Pub Devils improved to 10-0 in Prince George Senior Lacrosse as they pounded the Cowboy Ranch/Regional Security Stylers 24-5. The Stylers slip to 3-6. Danton Nicholson and Cameron Braun each tallied four goals for the Devils.

–The Prince George Superior Fencing Reds placed 2nd with a 3-2 record at the Shuswap Shotgun men’s fastball tournament in Canim Lake. Both losses for the Reds were to the Native Canadian Champion Westbank Cardinals. Superior Fencing will compete in the Potskin/Ghostkeeper Memorial tournament and the Canada Day Fastpitch tournament this month.

–The BCHL confirmed at its AGM in Richmond that the league will continue with the same playoff format for a second consecutive season. The BCHL Showcase will start the 2014-15 season Sept 19 to 21 in Chilliwack. The regular season will conclude Sunday, March 1st. The BCHL will still follow the Junior A Supplement document which determines discipline on dangerous hits and fights. Players will be ejected from a game following a fight.
