The local St John Ambulance brigade has set its sights on purchasing a mobile first response unit.
Division 803 hope to raise $50-thousand dollars over the coming year to purchase, supply, and insure the vehicle. Members of the organization will appear before council tonight seeking a five-thousand dollar contribution from the City.
The group says Division 803 provided more than 26-hundred person-hours in free first responder services to events in Prince George last year, not including the Canada Winter Games.
That amounts to more than $78-thousand dollars in free service to the community.
Also on tonight s council agenda, a public hearing on a rezoning application that would allow the development of a 173-unit senior s apartment complex on two lots along Victoria Street and 20th Avenue.
