Just what the new pool in Vanderhoof will look like is expected to be released soon.
District Council and Staff are working to release a design for the new aquatic centre within a month.
Councillor Steve Little says they have also hired a consultant to look for alternative funding.
Little says the district wants to raise $8 million before going ahead with construction.
He says they are at least a year and a half away from breaking ground on the Vanderhoof Aquatic Centre.
