The UNBC Lady T-Wolves basketball team pulled off an upset in Abbotsford Friday beating the Fraser Valley Cascades 63-47.
UNBC led UFV 40-20 at halftime.
Maria Mongomo led the T-Wolves in scoring with 18 points, including a 4 for 7 effort from beyond the arch.
Hannah Pudlas chipped in with 11 points and 14 rebounds while Vasiliki Louka also netted 11 points.
Kayli Satori led the Cascades with 14 points in a losing cause.
The Lady T-Wolves improve their mark to 2-9.

On the men’s side, UNBC lost a defensive struggle against UFV coming up short 63-56.
The T-Wolves led 34-27 at the break before getting outscored 36-22 in the 2nd half, including a 27-10 run by the Cascades in the fourth quarter.
Marcus MacKay scored 19 points in the loss.
Vijay Dhillon was the top scorer for UFV with 18 points while Kevon Parchment enjoyed a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
The T-Wolves drop to 3-8 on the season.
Game 2 of both double headers goes Saturday in Abbotsford.
