The Cariboo Cougars took care of business this weekend sweeping the Vancouver North East Chiefs after a 4-2 win today (Sun).
Jesse Pomeroy put the Cougars on the board in the first to make it 1-0 after 20 minutes.
Riley Coish would add to the lead putting one past Andrew Henderson for a 2-0 lead after two periods.
In the third, both teams would score two each starting with Tyler Ho who made it 3-0 early in the frame.
Harris Pearce broke the goose egg from VNE on the power-play before Tyler Maser and Brett Didyk traded goals later in the period.
Cougars were without Chase Dubois, Colton Thomas, Reid Perepeluk and Logan Archer due to injury.
Cariboo called up goaltender Marcus Allen who picked up the victory along with Darian Long.
Devin and Jerrin Sutton also saw action for the Cougars.
Long will be called up for the rest of the season after season-ending injuries to both Thomas and Dubois.
Cariboo is tied for first in the BCMML with the Valley West Hawks and are on the road next weekend when they face the South Island Royals.
