The UNBC Lady T-Wolves battled hard against the MacEwan Griffins in women’s basketball losing 73-58 Friday.
Kendall Lyton led the Griffins with 23 points.
Megan Wood and Kelly Fagan also chipped in with 16 and 13 points.
Vasiliki Louka led the Lady T-Wolves with 18 points thanks to a 8 for 19 performance on field goals.
Maria Mongomo also netted 15 points for the Timberwolves.

On the men’s side, MacEwan defeated the Timberwolves 74-59 on Friday.
Thadius Galvez scored 19 points for the Griffins while Denzel James netted 18 points off the bench.
Rhys Elliott led the Timberwolves in scoring again with 22 points.
Colin Plumb also added 16 points in the loss.
The second half of the doubleheader’s go tonight (Sat) at 5 and 7pm from the Northern Sports Centre.
