Spruce Kings and Eagles play to draw

A day after trading away two of their top six forwards, the Prince George Spruce Kings tied the Surrey Eagles last night (Fri).

After a scoreless first period, both teams exchanged goals in the second when Jaxon Joseph scored 46 seconds into the middle frame for the Eagles while Tanner Campbell scored his first goal as a Spruce King on the power play at 18:51.

The third period saw a couple of late goals by the Eagles Donovan Ott and Tanner Campbell’s 2nd of the game would force the game to extra time.

Overtime would solve nothing and both teams would be forced to take the single point.
