The Prince George Lions Club is holding their annual Christmas tree chipping event Saturday and Sunday.
Club President Tony Herba says it will be running from 10am – 4pm each day. “Right at the corner of 18th Avenue and Ospika, CN Centre. Then the city will come and chip them on January 11th.”
The trees can be dropped off by donation.
Proceeds will go to fund the Lions Club’s various programs in PG. “We help low income families with hospital stays in Vancouver, families that need eye glasses for their kids. We also raise money for the Salvation Army.”
Herba says they usually get anywhere from 50-70 trees each year.
