Two suspicious incidents involving school aged children are being investigated by the Prince George RCMP.
Just before 2 o’clock police received a call from the Vice-Principal of a high school after a female student was walking near Westgate Avenue and Bear Road when a male in a pick-up truck asked her to get in the vehicle.
He is described as Caucasian between 40 and 50 years of age with short brown hair and a brown Carhartt jacket.
Then just before 2:30 that afternoon police were called after a male was seen throwing snowballs at students near Renwick Crescent and Edmonton Street.
Before calling police, the member of the public confronted the man who stated that he liked talking to the students and that he just arrived here from Newfoundland.
He was wearing blue jeans with an Outback hat that would be worn in Australia.
The vehicle was white with a charcoal base similar to a Chevy Montana.
Anyone with information on either case is asked to call the detachment or crime stoppers.
Police do not believe these two incidents are linked.
