A lot of significant arrests were made by the Prince George RCMP in 2015.
Corporal Craig Douglass says one included a Canadian who was laying low in the United States since the 1970’s.
“It was in regarding a 1974 assault and sexual assault of a child under the age of 10, Raymond MacLeod is back in Canada and in custody awaiting trial.”
Douglass adds they have a simple mandate for 2016.
“We will continue to provide focused, targeted and tenacious policing directed towards those who prey on the vulnerable in our community whether those are prolific offenders or drug dealers.”
Other major arrests include an additional four people being charged with first degree murder for the homicide of Jordan Christian Reno in June of 2012.
Three people were also charged with first degree murder for the January 2015 homicide of Jordan McLeod.
