The Lheidli T’enneh are heading to the polls for the first time in nine years.
After a vote for a treaty was defeated by a narrow margin in 2007, an internal group studied the proposed treaty and determined the Lheidli could be economically self sufficient through ratification of the final agreement.
Chief Dominic Frederick says some felt like they didn’t have enough information during the 2007 vote, and plans to change that this time around.
The vote will take place in mid-2016
