Despite jumping out to a 2-0 lead the Cariboo Cougars were unable to punch their ticket back to the Male final at the Mac’s Midget Tournament in Calgary.
The Lloydminster AAA Bobcats slipped past the Cougars 5-2 tonight (Thu).
Chris Jandric put Cariboo ahead 2-0 after the first period.
Lloydminster found the back of the net when Macgregor Sinclair and Ryan Schoettler evened the game at 2 after two periods of play.
The Bobcats would pour it on in the third thanks to three goals from Kobe Walker, Chase Wouters and Parker Saretsky.
Cariboo was outshot 29-20 overall.
Lloydminster now plays the Calgary Flames tomorrow (Thu) from the Scotiabank Saddledome.
