It’s “Clean Air Day” in BC Wednesday and Prince George is making progress in cleaning up its act.
PG’s Air Improvement Round Table has invested in monitoring efforts in reducing particles in the air and reports that levels have been reducing over the last three years to a record low.
They say initiatives from the government, such as their $200,000 “Wood Stove Exchange Program”, replacing old wood stoves for new low-emission appliances, as well as $100,000 towards the BC Clean Air Research Fund have helped progress.
