Some further details have surfaced regarding the American bear hunter killed near Houston, last week.
According to Washington State media, the family of Jeff Cooper, 59, says he was tracking a grizzly he had wounded while on a hunting trip in the Tahtsa Reach Forest Service Area.
The family goes on to say the bear attacked Cooper and the guide outfitters he was with, and when all three opened fire, Cooper was caught in the middle and killed.
RCMP Corporal Dave Tyreman says he was familiar with the story, but doesn’t have those details, as the investigation is still ongoing.
