Its the season of giving and a Prince George group is asking residents for toy donations.
The Recycling and Environmental Action Planning Society (REAPS) is hosting their annual Recycle Toy Drive this Saturday.
The drive will be collecting toy donations for toddlers, teenagers and all-ages in between.
“We always have an abundance of toys during the holidays that are given to our children” said REAPS Executive Director Terri McClymont. “It’s nice to pick and choose what toys they are no longer using… and give it to another child.”
2015 is the 19th year of REAPS’ annual toy drive. According to McClymont, Prince George residents usually donate around 1000 kilograms of toys to the cause.
“The toys are going to about 14 different advocacy groups for children to distribute throughout the holiday season” said McClymont. “It could be anyone that’s been pulled from their home, it could be for low income families, it could be for families in need.”
Donations can be dropped off at the REAPS Garden from 10 AM until 2 PM this Saturday.
