230 thousand dollars in upgrades is coming to Polaris Montessori Elementary School in Prince George.
School District 57 Secretary-Treasurer, Allen Reed says the funding is part of a bigger overhaul for the facility.
“Anytime we receive funding from the Ministry of Education it’s important and in addition to this we have a 2.6 million dollar renovation project planned for the school.”
The money will help install a heating and ventilation system in the gymnasium along with a fire protection system.
Work is underway and should be complete by next spring.
