Bulldogs muzzle Spruce Kings in OT

The Prince George Spruce Kings earned a point after a 4-3 overtime loss to the Alberni Valley Bulldogs tonight (Sat).

Alberni Valley scored the lone goal in the first period off the stick of Eric Margo at 17:36.

The Spruce Kings would score two unanswered in the second from Jake LeBrun on the power-play, followed by an even strength goal by Braiden Epp.

Alberni Valley would even things up on the man advantage late in the period from Paul Meyer at 15:59.

In the third, both teams would trade goals courtesy of Quinn Syrydiuk (Alberni Valley) and Bryan Basilico (P.G.) to make it 3-3 after regulation.

Josh Adkins lit the lamp just 12 seconds into overtime to end the game for the Bulldogs.

Liam McCloskey made 35 saves in the loss.

Prince George will conclude the Island road swing tomorrow (Sun) in Victoria.
