ICBC has some safety tips for drivers this Halloween.
Spokesperson, Joanna Linsangan says drivers need to be on the lookout for children.
“Slowing down in residential areas and also being prepared for children who may make unsafe decisions like jaywalking.”
Linsangan reminds drivers to secure their vehicle if they have to park outside.
“Park your car in a well lit area make sure to take out all valuables and lock your car. After New Year’s Day Halloween is the second highest day for vehicle vandalism.”
Tips for kids dressing up include travelling in groups along with setting a route and time limit.
Every year, an average of 120 people are injured in 83 crashes on Halloween night in BC.
