Northern BC RCMP on alert after possible abduction

The Fort St. John RCMP is currently investigating a potential child abduction at approximately 6:00 pm this evening.

One man and woman driving a newer white Ford Explorer- or similar vehicle- with a license plate starting with “J” or “AJ” are currently being sought.

RCMP have not ruled out the possibility that this incident may have involved the discipline of a child by their parents and that a child abduction may not have occurred, but are asking for public assistance in the matter.

If you have any information regarding the identity of the vehicle or persons involved, please contact the Fort St. John RCMP at 250-787-8100, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
