Lheidli T’enneh First Nation to be beneficiaries at Giveback event

Medical, Surgical and Safety Supplies Limited (MSS), in partnership with PRIMED, will be supporting three organizations with Giveback.

One of the organizations is the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation, who will be receiving $25,000 of the total $75,000, supporting Indigenous communities, advancing economic reconciliation and strengthening the country’s healthcare system through partnerships.

Eric Brent, Sales Representative with PRIMED explains why Lheidli T’enneh was chosen.

“James Heibert, President and Owner of MSS, he was working with beneficiaries in the Interior and North, and the Lheidli T’enneh Band was one that was very open to being a beneficiary.”

“Given James’ Indigenous background as well, we thought it would be a perfect fit.”

Brent added 51 per cent of net profits are reinvested into communities, with a huge contribution through the Provincial Health Service Authorities contract with them.

The contribution would go towards local programs and initiatives aligned with the organizations community and healthcare needs.

The two other beneficiaries are Osoyoos First Nation, and the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation.

The Giveback event will be on Thursday at 3:00pm at the Osoyoos Indian Band Office.
