The Prince George Cougars got off on the wrong foot to start the weekend, falling 6-3 to the Victoria Royals at home, putting an end to their division title hopes.

The Cougars will look to end the regular season with a win tonight at 6:00.

They’ll open the WHL playoffs against the Portland Winterhawks.

BCHL:

The Prince George Spruce Kings managed to take a 3-2 regulation win over the Coquitlam Express yesterday, kicking off their three game stretch on the road.

The Spruce Kings face the Chilliwack Chiefs tonight at 6:00, and the Surrey Eagles tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon at 3:00.

Prince George has four regular season games left, sitting four points behind the Langley Rivermen for the 8th and final playoff spot in the BCHL Interior Conference.

Langley has three remaining.

BC Elite Hockey League:

The U-18 Cariboo Cougars will need to play perfect hockey after last night’s 4-2 loss to the Okanagan Rockets in the bests-of-3 finals.

The two teams face off again tonight at 4:45, and if needed, Sunday morning at 10:45.

The winner goes to Alberta for the Pacific playdowns April 4th-6th.

In the Female division, the U-18 Northern Capitals are in a similar situation, dropping game one of the best-of-three final to the top-ranked Greater Vancouver Comets 1-0.

The Northern Capitals remain in Coquitlam, as the two play again tonight at 5:45, and if needed, Sunday afternoon at 1:00.
