PG Firefighters douse early-morning Oak Street blaze

Local fire crews from two halls responded to a structure fire in the VLA.

It happened at about 6:45 am this morning (Friday) along the 2100 block of Oak Street according to city officials.

Once on scene, PG firefighters found a temporary carport and fence on fire.

Crews were able to extinguish the blaze, keeping it confined to the point of origin.

There were no injuries to the public or firefighting crews.

The damage is estimated at $10,000 and the cause is under investigation.
