Prince George boy staying optimistic through cancer treatments

Six-year-old Nixon’s spirits remain high, as he goes though continued treatments for a form of ear cancer.

Family friend, Lindsay Cote says Nixon’s treatments are anywhere from weekly to multiple days a week, with him and his mom, Lindsay visiting a clinic in Seattle last week.

“They went to Seattle to visit the oncology and radiation teams at the radiation clinic and the children’s hospital as they prepare to undergo a 5 week radiation treatment plan in Seattle.”

The family has been seeing an outpour of support from the community not only with the GoFundMe, but also Carl’s Jr.’s fundraiser, along with Northland Dodge raising $6,000.

“It’s been great to see the community come together as Prince George always does to support families and Children like Nixon and Lindsay, as they undergo terrifying medical treatment and life saving treatment elsewhere in the province, and the country.” says Cote.

Hell Yeah Prince George! is also running a silent auction, where a new item is posted daily on Facebook.
