Police in Prince George catch prolific offender with illicit drugs

Prince George RCMP caught a prolific offender on Sunday, after receiving a complaint of a fight in the area.

According to police, the investigation began just after 4:00 p.m. when Mounties received a report of two men fighting near Freeman Street and Eighth Avenue.

Witnesses stated to police they had witnessed a man going into backyards in the area and confronted him, which resulted in a verbal altercation between the parties.

“When police officers arrived in the area, the suspect ran away on foot. He was located again on the 600-block of Douglas Street and taken into custody after initially refusing to comply with the instructions of the attending officers. The suspect is known to police,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
