Jeanne Clarke Local History Award Ceremony happening this weekend

The winner of the Jeanne Clarke Local History Publication Award will be announced Sunday.

This will be during the Prince George Public Library’s 40th Annual Jeanne Clarke Local History Awards ceremony, recognizing individuals and groups for preserving local history.

Manager of Communications and Engagement, Larissa Clotildes talks about the Publication Award.

“It is awarded to a publication that is a significant contribution to local history. The term local is defined somewhat regionally, we include most of northern BC so, it can be a biography, it could be a historical work, it could be an anthology.”
