The Trinity Western Spartans went two for two this weekend in men’s soccer against the UNBC Timberwolves.
The Timberwolves would score first tonight (Sat) in the 43 minute courtesy of Conrad Rowlands.
Mitchell Urzinger would tie things up early in the second half to make it 1-1.
In the 90th minute Trinity Western would claim victory when Jarvis Ambaka scored his third of the season past goalie Mitch MacFarlane.
UNBC falls to 1-9 on the season and will finish up in Kamloops against the Thompson River Wolfpack next weekend.
On the women’s side the Lady T-Wolves were blanked 3-0 by the University of Saskatchewan Huskies today (Sat).
Jenelle Zapski and Leesa Eggum scored in the first half to give the Huskies a 2-0 lead at half-time.
Zapski would get her second of the match in the 57th minute as the U of S out shot UNBC 10-0 with goalkeeper Jordan Hall making 7 saves.
The Lady T-Wolves play the Regina Cougars tomorrow (Sun) before wrapping up against UBCO and Thompson Rivers next weekend.
