BC's Senior's Advocate stops in PG

The advocate for seniors in the province held an open forum in Prince George Wednesday.

Isobel Mackenzie spoke to a packed room at the Elder Citizen Recreation Centre, hearing stories of struggles with independence, mental health, and finances.

With the skyrocketing cost of hydro and natural gas putting a clench on seniors with fixed incomes, Mackenzie says the Ministry of Health is doing what it can to ease the burden.

Mackenzie’s next stop on her tour is in Williams’ Lake, Thursday.
