Vees fly past Spruce Kings

The Prince George Spruce Kings have seen enough of Dante Fabbro and the Penticton Vees this season.

Prince George fell on the road again tonight (Fri) against Penticton by a 5-2 score.

The Vees jumped out to an early lead in the first after a power play goal from Scott Conway to make it 1-0 after 20 minutes.

In the second, both teams would score a pair of goals when Braiden Epp evened the score at 1-1 just 4:22 into the middle frame.

Demico Hanoun would give the Vees the lead back at 15:26 but that was short lived when Bryan Basilico scored on the man advantage to tie the game once again.

In the dying seconds of the period Penticton would score courtesy of Easton Brodzinski.

Brodzinski would score his second of the game late in third with Benjamin Brar also lighting the lamp to preserve the victory.

Liam McCloskey made 31 saves on 35 shots in defeat while Dante Fabbro was named the game’s 1st star with three assists.

Prince George will complete their road trip tomorrow night (Sat) against the West Kelowna Warriors.
