BC Elite Hockey League:  (Showcase in Burnaby)

Under-18 Cariboo Cougars  4  Okanagan Rockets  1  (Monday)
Under-18 Cariboo Cougars  7  Fraser Valley Thunderbirds  1  (Sunday)

The (22-6-3-1) U-18 Cougars are in first place by three points over the (22-9-0-1) Valley West Giants with both teams having four regular season games left.

Cariboo will host the (13-11-3-4) Vancouver North West Hawks Friday morning at 10:30 at the Kopar Memorial Arena and Saturday morning at 10:15 at Kin 1.

WHL:

The (30-15-4-2) Prince George Cougars, riding a 6-game point streak, host the league-leading (37-9-4-3) Everett Silvertips Friday night at 7:00 and Saturday night at 6:00.

Prince George is second in the BC Division, four points behind the (31-14-3-5) Victoria Royals with P.G. holding two games in hand.

The Prince George Spruce Kings visit the (22-14-3) Cowichan Valley Capitals Friday and the (20-18-2) Nanaimo Clippers Saturday with their next home game on February 21st against the (26-8-5) Chilliwack Chiefs.

The (15-20-3-1) Spruce Kings are seven points out of a playoff spot with 15 games remaining.

NHL: 

The NHL regular season takes a break until Saturday, February 22nd.

The (26-18-11) Vancouver Canucks play their next game February 22nd at Vegas.

The Canucks are holding down the 2nd and final Wild Card playoff spot in the Western Conference, three points ahead of the (26-21-8) Calgary Flames.

The 4 Nations Face-Off tournament begins Wednesday in Montreal with Canada against Sweden (5:00).

Canada West Basketball:

The UNBC Timberwolves will conclude their Canada West Basketball season when they host the UBC Thunderbirds Friday night at 6:00 and 8:00 and Saturday night at 5:00 and 7:00.

Friday’s women’s game is Shoot For the Cure Night and the T-Wolves will be wearing brand new pink cancer-themed jerseys.

The UNBC women are 4-14 while the UNBC men sit 1-17.

The UBC women are 16-2 while the UBC men have a 13-5 record.

NBA:

Luka Doncic made his LA Lakers debut in a convincing 132-113 victory over the Utah Jazz.

The 25-year-old Doncic finished with 14 points, five rebounds and four assists while shooting five-for-14 from the field in 23 minutes.

The (16-37) Toronto Raptors try to snap a 4-game losing skid when they visit the (20-32) Philadelphia 76’ers tonight (Tuesday 4:00).
