Centennials outlast Spruce Kings

The Prince George Spruce Kings fell short on the road losing to the Merritt Centennials 4-3.

Merritt jumped out to a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes thanks to goals from Zachary Zorn and Zak Bowles.

Corey Hoffman got the Spruce Kings on the board just 37 seconds into the middle frame before Nik Fidanza restored the Merritt two goal lead.

Prince George would eventually tie the game at three thanks to goals from Braiden Epp and Rylan Bechtel.

The Centennials would get the winner at 17:24 of the third period when Mitch Lipon put it past Sam Tanguay.

Prince George will travel to Penticton tonight (Fri) before wrapping up the trip on Saturday against the West Kelowna Warriors.
